Garden Improvements... still more!!

It was rather hot yesterday so the work didn't continue at the pace of the previous days. Bushes had to be dug out, plants removed and replanted, which obviously slowed things down a bit!

But the frame for the final bed is up!

Although by the end of the year it may be dismantled. As K tried to dig here and she says its a maze of roots!!!! So I may put the strawberry plants here as they are shallow rooted and put the sweetcorn where I was going to plant the strawberries!

I finished the gravel around the top area

we are very pleased with this and actually sat here with our drinks yesterday, its lovely! I need a few days off as my back is a little bit dodgy! I know I probably shouldn't have done all this but how can I sit back and do nothing, whilst everyone else is working hard!!

The tulip is coming on

there is a streak of red in it!

The only tree in the garden is my Rocket, tall and slender and has the most beautiful blossoms and fantastic coloured leaves in the autumn!

Maybe a couple of days off to rest the back, might do pricking out instead!

  1. The seated area looks nice. I like planting vegetables in raised beds - satisfies my liking for neat lines of plants and tidy edges!

  2. The seating area looks different again now the gravel is down.

It's amazing how much you can get done in such a short space of time.
