Crammed Full

My greenhouse is crammed full at the moment. I have an extra shelf unit squeezed in the middle and I can't fit anything else in till the weather improves, which is a pain.

The reason for this is two fold, I have 72 plug plants stored for my mum, whose back garden was redone last year when she had a new patio laid.

As you can see, there is more than 72 plug plants an extra 144 to be exact! Why, well I bought two lots for my large flower bed next to the arid bed which has been totally neglected for years and needed something doing to it.

The bananas are a little bit slow off the mark this year, but seem to be alive.

These are my tomato plants, although they are on a heat mat it is not switched on, I ran out of room to put things!!

These tomato plants on the floor are my neighbours, I have been bringing them on for them.

My cannas? Some are and some aren't, growing that is :(

Under the bench some of my agaves and succulents.

The flowering stalk is growing longer and longer.

Now the problem is, I still have jungle seeds to sow, but no where to put them???

Arid Bed

Apologies for the photos, the colour on them seems a bit off and I have no idea why??

Anyway enjoy.

 I uncovered the Arid bed and gave everything a good water,

 
as some of the plants look decidedly shrivelled

I have lost some

but to be honest they shouldn't have been left out in the first place really,

others seem extremely healthy

They will all be covered up tonight as its still to chilly to leave them exposed just yet.

Meanwhile in the greenhouse my  Aeonium tabulaeforme which I only got last year has decided to flower, which means it will die, gutted. Hopefully I will be left with lots of seed.

So all in all everything prickly in the garden is doing fine!

Meteorological High!

So exciting, we are having a 'Meteorological High' and its likely to stay with us for a week. Such a treat after the long wet winter. The water table in the UK is so full that we only need a little rain and the fields are flooded!!! Unbelieveable.

So yesterday we went out to buy some compost so I could start some potting up/on of plants!!!

Today I went into the greenhouse 

 and potted up my bananas, I haven't watered them as the compost is on the damp side, will check in a few days.

 I admit to cheating this year on the tomato front, I have bought plug plants for me and my neighbour.

The pond is full of frog spawn, we have never ever had so much. On top and under the net. The net will stay where it is until everything has hatched.

In my last blog I mentioned that we had planned some changes to the garden this year, well they have been put on hold until next year unless I can manage to do them myself. We have a wedding to pay for lol!!
